Vahali Vineyards is a small, family-owned grape and wine producer on the outskirts of Paso Robles, California.

Having had years of experience in the travel and hospitality industry, our founders, Mokshinder and Renu, first visited Paso Robles to celebrate their 33rd wedding anniversary in 2008. They were delighted to find this gem, with its beautiful Zins and Petite Sirahs, just a few hours from their home in Southern California. They started small, purchasing and planting an acre of land off of Hwy. 46 East. Five years later, they expanded to Jauhar Vineyard, planting 17 acres in 2015, just in time for a big family celebration among the vines. We acquired Jhelum Vineyard, formerly known as Herder, in 2017.

Mok Renu Vahali

While we may be new to wine, our family’s connection to the land and soil goes back hundreds of years.

Our oldest ancestor on record - Diwan Karan Mal - was responsible for laying out the gardens at the Taj Mahal. By 1909, our grandparents supported close to 14,000 acres of farms, forests and the communities who lived on them in the state of Vahali, located in the Jhelum District of Punjab, the grain basket of South Asia. A century later, and thousands of miles away, we have found our way back to nurturing the land in our new home.
